William H. Hess has been appointed Head of School at Berks Catholic High School.
A lifelong Catholic educator, Hess has a wide range of experience. He was a former assistant principal at the high school, with primary responsibility as Dean of Students and Athletic Director, a position he held since 2011.
Previously, he served as Director of Student Life at Holy Name High School, he was a Social Studies teacher at Holy Name High School, and began his career in the Diocese of Allentown at St. Ignatius Loyola Regional School, teaching Social Studies in Grades 5-6.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Studies from Kutztown University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Alvernia University. He holds an Instructional II certification in Secondary Education – Social Studies, and a Principal’s Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
He and his family are members of Holy Rosary Parish, Reading.
He replaces Mrs. Alice Einolf, who retired after 34 years as a Catholic educator, serving the past two years as Berks Catholic principal.
