College undergraduates and all young adults (ages 18-35) in the Diocese of Allentown are invited to reawaken their faith during a Young Adult and Intercollegiate Retreat Saturday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Francis Retreat House, Easton.
The theme of the one-day retreat is “Love, Lent and Liturgy.” Participants will reflect on their identity as beloved children of God, celebrate the season of Lent by diving deeper into that relationship and experience the depth of love through Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist.
The day will center on our baptismal identity and call to be missionaries, or as St. Paul calls us, Ambassadors for Christ.
“My hope is that this retreat will be a way for young adults to experience a reawakening of their faith, after a time of pandemic isolation, having the opportunity to safely meet in person to share their faith,” said Maggie Riggins, diocesan director for young adult and campus ministries.
The retreat will follow all pandemic health and safety guidelines, including social distancing and mask wearing. There is no cost to attend and meals will be provided. Participants must arrange their own transportation.
Deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 19. Email mriggins@allentowndiocese.org with name, email address, college/university (if applicable) and any dietary needs.
