The Diocese of Allentown’s first-ever bourbon tasting event – to benefit Holy Family Senior Living – will be held August 27.
An expert from the Woodford Reserve distillery in Kentucky will lead a guided tasting of four different Woodford bourbons.
Event Chair Richard Salezze will give a talk on how to make the best crystal-clear ice for sipping spirits or cocktails at home.
Perhaps best of all, attendees also will receive a one-liter bottle of hand-selected Woodford Reserve Single Barrel bourbon, personalized by Bishop Alfred Schlert.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres will accompany the tasting.
The event is limited to 100 guests, with a requested donation of $400 per person or $750 per couple. It will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Woodstone Country Club, 3777 Dogwood Road, Danielsville, Pa.
